Bubble on the Tyne

The Concept for a multifunctional space on the River Tyne in conjunction with LaRiviera Restaurant

Another architectural master piece is being born and it is on the Gateshead side of the river again.  The concept has been created through the innovative mind of Parviz Alizadeh (Ali to his friends), the owner of LaRiviera Restaurant at Gateshead side of the Swing Bridge.

 Bubble on the Tyne

The concept is called “Bubble on the Tyne”. Ali is planning to involve a drink company associated with bubbles to sponsor this outstanding and imaginative project, i.e.: a Champagne producer or a fizzy soft drink or even O2.  The Bubble is to be used as an exclusive members club, with variety of other alternative uses attached to it.

Where ever possible the structural build and manufacturing of the components of this project has to be offered to North East companies, before resourced out of the area. IE: it is envisage for Swan hunters to be commissioned to build the structure

The Bubble Project

The project will be futuristic and where possible the most innovative electronic and It gadgets will be fitted on board, list of which is outlined below. IE: the local Universities will be brought on board to advise and their R&D departments will be commissioned to develop the futuristic ideas.

A new architectural installation will soon be drifting its way along the Tyne.

Plans have been unveiled for a giant bubble boat capable of carrying 250 people. The spherical craft, which will be largely transparent, is designed to be an educational and tourist attraction by day, but will turn into a restaurant and club by night.

IT looks like something dreamt up by Jules Verne. But a far cry from the world of science fiction, this ‘Bubble on the Tyne’ is the very real proposal for an attraction to be installed on the river.
